Cara is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) and Registered Dance/Movement Therapist (R-DMT). Cara earned her M.A. from Lesley University and is currently pursuing a post-graduate certificate at the Kint Institute in New York City, focusing on utilizing creative arts therapy in healing trauma.

She loves to explore mind-body connections and somatic symptoms with clients on their path to healing. Cara's clinical toolbox also includes EMDR, CBT, DBT, acceptance and commitment therapy, and polyvagal theory. 

Cara specializes in working with individuals who identify as neurodivergent and is proudly a neurodiversity-affirming therapist. It is her goal to create a therapeutic environment where clients feel comfortable to be authentically and unapologetically them. 

Cara is also an endorsed practitioner of Rainbow Dance, a therapeutic movement and music program for children and their caregivers that enhances self-esteem, self-regulation and social empathy.
